Group Sushi Course

The characteritics of our Group sushi course

  • How long is the course?
    The course takes roughly 3.0 hours,depemding on the number of people(from 2 to 4).
  • Where does the course happen?
    The kitchen is located Golders Green, London.
    3min walk from the Golders Green tube station.
    We also have parking space at the front of our home.
  • Is there anything you should bring with you?
    No.We supply you with a traditional sushi chef’s apron to wear.

For the group sushi course to happen,there has to be at least two people. The maximum size is up to 4 people.

thank you very much for emailing me a photograph of the "learner" sushi chefs and also for the fantastic introduction to the world of sushi making. It was a wonderful way of spending the afternoon and our friends were very impressed when we turned up later to a dinner with our efforts. (You may find you have a few more lpotential earner students coming to see you!).
I found the group class of 4 to be a perfect size and the range of sushi which you taught us to make was also great. Thank you for your explanations, shopping tips and the handy reference booklet that you gave us. We had a wonderful time and Kate is now looking for a rice cooker to buy so we can continue practicising at home.

Contents of group-sushi chef course

  • Cooking the rice
  • Making the sushi vinegar
  • Making sushi rice by mixing cooked rice with vinegar
  • Making Nigiri (Salmon, Prawn, Egg, White fish) by hand
  • Making Rolls (California inside-out roll, cucumber roll, Takuan roll, salmon roll, etc We will have a wide range of ingredients ready, if you like a particular roll, let us know we probably would be able to get hold of the ingredients for you!)
  • Making Oshisushi - Pressed sushi by using smoked salmon
  • Cutting rolls into 6PCS and 8PCS
  • Preparing fish to use for sushi or sashimi, using Salmon fillet as a sample.
  • After making the sushi, you can pack all the sushi you have made into large party containers ready for you to take home. We also offer Japanese tea as refreshments.

What you take home with you

  • We will issue you a certificate stating that you have taken our Home sushi chef course.
  • You will receive a free gift, a “Sushi Kit” consisting of: Sushi rice, Nori, Rice vinegar, wasabi, Bamboo rolling mat and Bamboo mixing spatula for making sushi rice
  • Detailed sushi course notes so that you can refresh your memory at any time - No need to bring a note pad and pen, we have done it for you!
